this I understand, DVB works for me though :) and i use the huge equalizer in pulse effects so I don't rely on the one application (like amarok) i can set up the sound how i want it with presets for headphones, speakers etc.

Trying yauap it can not to set equalizer  :(
Now, waiting to Trinity update and hoping in bug fixing, i am using Audacious, Clementine and Decibel Media Player.
Decibel Media Player is very good and it is still gtk2; last update is 2011.
To hope that it will not in gtk3 in future versions  ::)

For better audio components on the cheap, you might look at https://www.parts-express.com/

I have a small Dayton Audio amp I picked up from them with which I've been very pleased.

@francesco bat
I'm sure you know that TDE R14.0.7 has been released and Francois (rpm packager) is gradually making rpms for, once the rpms will be available for pclinuxos, can you please try Amarok again?
I'm asking you this because I've got a WIP PR for Amarok https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/TDE/amarok/pulls/10 and I wonder that's going on here with the xinelibs or Amarok.

Code: [Select]
[francesco@localhost ~]$ amarok
Amarok: [Loader] Starting amarokapp..
Amarok: [Loader] Don't run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary! Use amarokapp.

Is It with Amarok from R14.0.6 or R14.0.7 release (or both) you're having a crash?
Have you rebuilt Amarok when the xine lib was upgraded from 1.2.9 to 1.2.10?

NB: I'm not a pclinuxos user myself and i didn't install It.

Ok, now you're talking.

As I said previously once the rpms for R14.0.7 will be available and if the problem persists, would you mind filling a bug report in Gitea (please, don't use bugzilla)? How the crash occurs, steps to reproduce, etc.
https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/user/sign_up

To date (and my knowledge) R14.0.7 rpms for pclinuxos aren't available yet.
http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/rpm/
