Slow down my Mouse? SOLVED
« on: January 13, 2020, 02:18:41 AM »
Myself and ‘jeddaboy’ have asked this before and partly solved it but now I need to slow down a wireless USB mouse ( Dell laptop Mate DE) much further and came across this webpage which might provide a solution but the poster is using Ubuntu Mint

https://linuxmintuser.wordpress.com/2012/03/04/slow-down-my-mouse/

Question: Is there a similar PCLOS command which might achieve the same result.

Thanks

Wow  ::)

What a speedy clear reply, and straight from the top !  :)  I then spent some time thinking about this reply and  realised it could also be a rebuke ( thanks) because why did I not check the repo before posting.

Answer: The Dell with kernel 5.4.6 that I wanted to use did not have this app installed thus terminal output negative, but the ThinkPad with kernel 5.4.10 on which I posted my question did have it installed already.

I will post again when I have tried some changes even though marking this as solved.   Awesome  :)

Gratefully received and just to complete this post;  following the link above enabled me to slow down the mouse quite considerably.
Before, (on the slowest of the normal settings), it was still so fast that even using two hands it was almost uncontrollable whereas now it is acceptable with only one hand. A very significant improvement.  :) :)

PS:  Just remembered! for other newbies like me! don't cut and paste any of the CL commands from those links because there are spaces where there should be none and that gets very confusing.
