Replacing the firmware with a better one looks like a great idea .
If I ever get the time to convert my c720 I never use to Linux I would try a better firmware out .
Did you upgrade the SSD in the c720 to a larger one ?
If so what did you use .

I got a KingSpec 32 GB SSD for the C720, but for my use the original 16 GB would have worked. For the Chromebox I got a Transcend 256GB and that may work in a C720 as well. The important thing is to make sure it's compatible with your Chromebook.


For the MrChromebox firmware I'm pretty sure the script will convert either to new firmware, or take it back to the current version of the Chrome firmware. Whatever I originally did to the C720's firmware, I could never get it back to the original, so I couldn't restore it to the original ChromeOS configuration. It's been a couple of years, so my memory is... what was I saying?
