Neal, you might be the one to ask this:
My update on the NX9005 laptop this morning wanted to remove some scary looking bits of my OS and I declined. I know Father Knows Best in these things but wanted to check before I did something regrettable. There was a thread in the Forum recently about an update gone horribly wrong and O.P. (apologies if it wasn't this venerable gent) said something like "Synaptic will list the changes it will apply if you agree. Don't you ever read them?" It has made me a paranoid checker! Today's changes are listed below...
FLV Player, mplayer, lxde-common, obconf, openbox, memcoder,
...and libraries and what looks like a File Convertor-to-.avi
I'd hoped to 'Select all>Copy>Paste the list but Synaptic won't allow this and screen shots are not in my repertoire.
Is it safe to accept Synaptic's decision and proceed?
Thanks.
