(NEW) Wakoopa Tracker
« on: November 19, 2011, 09:17:25 PM »
Website:http://social.wakoopa.com/

Wakoopa info:

Wakoopa is a social network that helps people discover the best software, games and web apps on the market. Sign-up, install a small tracker on your desktop and automatically create your online software profile that you can share with friends and the world, also through widgets. Wakoopa keeps you updated about what your contacts are using, and sends you smart recommendations. Games, audio & video players, instant messengers or office tools: Wakoopa knows what's hot.

I tried to link to the download for the RPM but it seems that only if you login and/or register can you get to it.

So, I decided to upload the file from the site for whomever takes this on  :-* ( or if anyone does   :'( )

Thanks... :)

I'm sorry but there is no source package to work with. We really can't do anything about their binary i386 package with its odd dependency.

The only thing you can try is to force the package to install and see if it will work or not. It it works then you can hide it from Synaptic so it doesn't show as a broken package.

Thanks for the quick response Tex, and thanks for taking a look.

Weird how they rpm the file but it conflicts with a distro that uses them  ::)

I guess I'll give it a shot and force it but, in case, down the line something acts up for whatever reason, I could uninstall it through the terminal right?

Again, thanks for the response, and never stop this distro, seriously, it's literally the perfect KDE distro ( the only one that worked for me on every angle with every KDE app )

I removed everything that wasn't KDE by the way lol

Some software have weird library requirements or build prefixes.. Like Skype for me, I need to start it 3 times before it works, the first 2 times crashes it on me without any data in the .xsession-errors or in the terminal..
BTW you cannot remove all gnome apps unless you don't need synaptics and PCC ;)
Office required Windows XP or better, so I installed PCLinuxOS :D

lol Well I removed all the non kde stuff that I could or thought I could like thunderbird, firefox, pidgin, and so forth. Put Kontact etc in it's place  ;D

It's weird that you are having a problem with Skype, my Skype works perfectly fine  ???

But I did install the wakoopa tracker and now synaptic shows it as broken and tries to remove it lol

Looks like Im going to have to re-install it every time I want to update the system  :-\

.. 3 things are certain in life : death, taxes and software bloat ..
.. tell me something i don't know, something i can use as i struggle to reason with the world around me ..
