Hi,
I also get this strange screen in Virtualbox at shutdow. (Since some time I think).

I have got fixed the screen corruption at shutdown by installing the updated guest additions 4.1.6 directly from VirtualBox.
(Those available on PClinuxOS repos are version 4.1.4)  ;)

Beside, using the guest additions provided from VirtualBox will provide better mouse integration, automatically switching when enter/exit the vbox window.

AS

Thank you for your information ! Is that install simple to do ?

Yes  :D
First remove dmks-vboxadditions and virtualbox-guest-additions, then reboot.
When your guest is running, select Device -> Install Guest Additions from the virtualbox menu.
Depending on system/desktop you should get notified the insertion of VBOXGUESTADDITIONS cd, from there you can run ./VBoxLinuxAdditions.run, finally reboot again.

 ::) :'(

Installation of guest-additions greatly improve VirtualBox experience, both functional and performance ... so ... I think you should install the guest-additions.  :)

Mel,

Here's the easiest way to do it. With your guest VM running, click on Devices > Install Guest Additions at the top of the VirtualBox Window. In most cases, the guest OS will automatically mount the guest additions CD.

Then, in the guest OS, just browse to the CD's mountpoint. You'll want to run, as root,

sh VBoxLinuxAdditions.run

If it shows the GuestAdditions already installed, proceed anyway. After rebooting the guest VM, the video will be right and the mouse will be integrated with the host's.
