OK it's not going to look exactly the same but you can get that KDE3 "feel" to the desktop even though it uses GTK widgets:
1. As root, copy the icon /usr/share/icons/nuoveXT-aero/32x32/apps/gnome-logout.png to the folder /usr/share/icons/oxygen/32x32/apps
2. Install qgtkstyle from synaptic, otherwise KDE and QT apps will look UGLY! Once this is installed, they will use the GTK widgets.
3. In "Configure Openbox" use the "Clearlooks" window decorator.
4. In "GTK and Icon Theme" use "Clearlooks" widgets, and "Oxygen" Icon Theme.
And that's it. Something that reminds me of the old look, but lightweight and capable of running the latest versions of everything.
