[Solved] Task-enlightenment broken?
« on: November 13, 2011, 04:39:32 AM »
If I try to install task-enlightenment in synaptic get the following dependency errors.

Code: [Select]
task-enlightenment:
 Depends: e_modules (>= 20101112)
 Depends: enlil (>= 20101112)
but they are not going to be installed

Would like to us e17 on an older box I have here.

Maybe you can just install one of the e17 ISOs (just announced a new one on this forum)

Latest one here: http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php?topic=99382.0
(not 'official' PCLinuxOS release, but using the PCLinuxOS-repo's and it's quality - so I'd say, go for it)
=> just made by a community member

Thanks rubentje1991 & menotu,

Will give another try with different repository see what happens.

will try and down load the ISO also.  but when I try last night my connection speed was very slow to that server.

There are many places where you can download the ISO from... depends on your location which one is best and fast  :)

There is only one server where the E-17 ISOs can be downloaded from as they are not OFFICIALLY HOSTED.  ;)

I've got the ISO up on dropbox now to appease all the early downloaders...

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/49300324/E17-Fall-Magic.iso

Only problem with that is I can't track how many times it's downloaded.   :'(

Downloading at >1MB per second (8Mbs) (add 1 to your tracker  :D)
=> you could have used an url service (like bit.ly - recommended on Dropbox-forum somewhere by someone  ???) to generate another url, and track how many times people clicked on that link  ;)

Thanks Linuxera!
