Their instruction to download the torrent is to click the large DOWNLOAD button, which does not exist. There is however a teeny tiny little icon in front of the link, and if one clicks that, it does download the .torrent file. Very crappy web pages!

The first time you click on the torrent, you see this:

If you click again on the torrent name, then this large download button does appear (along with some more info about the torrent):

I repeat, very crappy web pages. Why should you need to go to two pages to see the large download button, when there is already a small one on the first page? Why is the large button not on the first page? Why do the instructions fail to say the large button is on the second page, and why is the smaller button on the first page not mentioned at all in the instructions?

Of what use be there for joy, if not for the sharing thereof?

Lest we forget...

I agree with you! I put the screenshots to show that you have to do extra steps to get to that big download button. The second screen could be left off and clicking on the torrent should get you to the second screen immediately...

We should just link directly to the .torrent file and avoid all this hassle for our users.
Packaging well will cure headaches of many :) But learning to package will cause headaches in many :(

Thanks DeBaas. Now I will just copy them over to our wiki.

If this Terasaur thingy stabilises and proves reliable, it might be good to upload the same torrents to LinuxTracker too. Or abandon LinuxTracker altogether. Terasaur itself being a permanent seed is the biggest attraction here. We could even switch to torrents as the primary method of download.

@sling-shot
A few minutes ago I tried to get to mcangeli from linuxtracker to get rid of the old(er) torrents.
Since the latest linuxtracker systemcrash I could not reach my account anymore and created a new one with the same credentials. Still cannot reach my PM inbox. I think there are some faulty read/write settings within my account.
The older pclinuxos torrents I created with my former account are not editable/removable for me.
Only if all those problems are gone and the older torrents are removed I'll upload the newer torrents. It takes a lot of time to try to get those proper uploaded if your account is a bit crippled.
So for now terasaur in the hands of nealb it is ;)
The only excelent working torrent on linuxtracker now is the FullMonty iso.
Waiting for action from linuxtracker.........

Are there any direct links to the new FullMonty 2012.09? My ISP is evidently blocking torrents ... I had started to d/l the new FM torrent and when it was almost done, it had stalled out & then I couldn't get it to even go to that link ... kept getting a 404 error and showing me some strange-looking search page I have never seen before (a stripped Bing?)!? When I did get Vuze to start to d/l, it would 'stall' (time) out!?

Thanks,
QBall

Problems with ibiblio and mirrorsync deleted the FM iso.
For now only torrenting.
Special for you, uploading FM (700M now)
Link as PM (soon) 7 days retention.

Updated the wiki page to reflect the new torrent links available via Terasaur.

Our primary host ibiblio is going away for the most part. For now you can find all of the recent isos at

http://pclosusers.com/isos/

It is my understanding a new primary host is being set up then all of the mirrors will need to be contacted with updated information on how to rsync from the new primary host of the PCLinuxOS distribution. This may change as things progress.

Hopefully also for both repositories!
Looks like uploading updates to repos is sometimes a disaster last few weeks,
(see my posts in testing section).
