If you are using the Nvidia current driver you need to go into Synaptic, remove all of the nvidia drivers then install
dkms-nvidia-current-280.13-1pclos2011.i586.rpm
x11-driver-video-nvidia-current-280.13-1pclos2011.i586.rpm
Hi Tex,
Thanks for the heads-up. Chromium still didn't start after reinstall.
In synaptic, the following items turned up as
installed when I searched "nvidia":
dkms-nvidia-current-285.05.09-1pclos2011
libdri-drivers-experimental-7.11-2pclos2011
x11-driver-video-nouveau-0.0.16-0.20110613.5pclos2011
x11-driver-video-nv-2.1.1.8-5pclos2011
x11-driver-video-nvidia-current-285.05.09-1pclos2011
Am I to remove
all of them before I install the two packages you posted?
