PCLinuxOS 2010 live cd
Downloaded today - MD5 checks OK - Burn Verification ( K3B ) OK .
stalls at    " initializing gfx code... "
Shows " boot: " on next line .
              And " gfxboot " under that .

Will repeat this same loop accepting response "gfxboot" at "boot:" prompt.
Result is : " Usage: gfxboot.com <bootlogo> "

Which of course does not tell me what I need to know...

Any help appreciated - as usual .

Thanks in advance !

Hi Tex!
Look,  I had the same problem here,  typed LiveCD.  Everything seemed to run well,    but at the end of the splash screen with the whole blue bar satured…  nothing happened in 30 mins.  Besides,  I saw that the live CD was “fighting/wasting” too much time against the….hardware?
Live CD was burned july/2011 absolutelly tested and with a great success in past installations (PClinux 2011.6).
The laptop's brand where I am trying to test the Live CD is MSI GT683 with this hardware:
 -CPU Intel Core i7-2630QM
-VGA NVIDIA GTX 560M/ 1.5 GB
-RAM DDRIII 6GB
-HDD: 1TB (500°2 RAID 0)
-Blue Ray DVD optical drive
Let me comment you, that something strange is happening here,  I have downloaded the last PClinuxOS ISO image from the right place, with the software to burn ISO images,  and simply, the machine is not able to burn a virgin CD without errors!..., the OS is W7 home prem. 64 bits arch.
Tex,  I am wondering if,  should I have to type another command, instead of LiveCD…?
Thx in advance!

Download the latest iso and check the md5sum and try again
