USB-Telbox usbb2kskype
« on: November 10, 2011, 10:15:07 AM »
I have a Skype ATA called a USB-Telbox.
We had packages in KDE3 for it, but unfortunately it would not build in KDE4.

The packages I successfully used up to the introduction of KDE4 were ....
    kb2bskype                 0.3.8-1pclos2009
    usbb2k-api-mod         2.8-1pclos2007

Now it seems there is a python development of the app to allow use of the ATA device.
Apparently it is not fully functional but at least can be used to make and receive Skype calls.

I can live without the fancy 'extras' if the present packages can be built for PCLOS.

This post is by way of an appeal to someone who may have the time and interest in looking at this with a view to having it packaged for PCLOS.

Best I can do I think is give links to the various pages with info  .....

http://kb2kskype.sourceforge.net/
http://kb2kskype.sourceforge.net/download.html
http://kb2kskype.sourceforge.net/install.html
Post # 13 in the following link refers to a new build and files written in Python which should be suitable for PCLOS
https://sourceforge.net/projects/kb2kskype/forums/forum/653443/topic/3513239
Source files appear to be here
https://kb2kskype.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/kb2kskype/trunk/kb2kskype_py/src/

It appears to me that the info is rather scattered - or I have not accessed it or maybe not understood it when I did.

I am rather lost with it at this time, but if someone does look at it, I am very willing to help if I can and to test any suggestions.

Thanks for reading this .....  and if you can, please consider it  :D

regards.
