webcam dark when trying

hello i am using kopete and yahoo i try to send
a persion using widows yahoo  msg from kopete
and every  time it is sent all they get from it is a
black sceen  no pic of me or moving around.this
has been going on from version1.0.0  to 1.0.80
they can still not see me on cam.have a great day.

Is your camera working locally? is it on? Can you get a display from it? What local program do you use to test it? How do you set it up to transmit? These are the beginning questions you must answer. You've shares almost no information about your problem. Tell us about your hardware.

hi i test it in kopete it show a pictchuer
and i also see it in ekga and yes the cam

What version of PCLinuxOS are you using? Is it fully updated through synaptic?
Those questions are also important.. Some bugs might have been fixed

hello i am using pc linux 2011.09 i think that
the lasts one for downloadand this cam poblem
started with a ealyer version  of kopete.will have
