Kalarm crashes when I try to edit or configure

Hello.  I am aware of this thread but the problem is different and I wanted to avoid hijacking the thread.

Kalarm consistently crashes when I try to edit an alarm or configure the application.  I installed gdb so that I could provide a crash report but the daemon tells me that insufficient information is generated.  The problem started today.

This morning I installed the new kernel and updated some packages.  FWIW, the list of packages installed (including the kernel) is as follows:
