Load In Ram?
« on: November 15, 2011, 08:23:56 AM »
Hi, I see on the live version of LXDE there is an option to load into ram, but when you install PCLOS, this option goes away on boot up. Is there a way to put this option back in the boot up screen?  I meen the one that gives you the option to boot LXDE or to boot in safe mode.

What I am trying to do is let a person with enough ram boot PCLOS into ram, it will take longer to boot but should run faster on a little netbook I think.

Another thing, where do I go to edit the boot screen so that the menu items will show up with a larger font size?

Thanks guys -John

Load to RAM.

This is useful only in LiveCD session.

When you work with a hard-disk installed system it loads itself to RAM to the maximum effective degree.
You could see it even in the old DOS :D

Hmmmmm.......................maybe you have a point.  Maybe I will come back to this if I ever get urge to make a USB version/distro of PCLOS that will dual boot with LXDE and KDE, unless Mate gets it in gear soon.
