(SOLVED) Desktop change by mouse wheel, how to turn it off?
« on: November 02, 2011, 02:12:44 PM »
This is driving me nuts  :D my wireless remote keyboard has a touchpad, it is not however, treated as such, because the keyboard simply treats it as a mouse, and as far as the PC is concerned its a mouse. Synaptic settings are not even available. Anyway, whenever I slide my finger over the "scroll area" the keyboard sends a "mouse wheel" signal to the PC and my desktops swap (usually several times). For the life of me I cannot find a setting to disable mouse wheel desktop change. I'm sure its there, maybe someone can tell me where?

Standard KDE install with 3D cube (6 desktops) enabled.

Ability is nothing without opportunity.

It's the first Sunday in June in case you were wondering.

Hi Mad_Sunday.

Right click on a desktop and choose Desktop Settings. Now that the Desktop Settings window pops up go to the Mouse Actions tab in the left pane of the window. Now click on the red - next to the Vertical Scroll setting to remove it or just change the option for Vertical Scroll from the Switch Desktop to something else.

Regards.
