<Solved FF but not Opera>Why No Print Selection Anymore?
« on: October 27, 2011, 01:44:29 PM »
I posted earlier I couldn't find print selection. I thought it was just Opera but now I have found it is missing in Firefox and Seamonkey also. I assume this is a KDE or Cups thing. Yes i know I can copy/paste/print from an editor but why has this ability to use "print select" been removed in browsers? Is there any way to restore it?

If the answer is no how the heck do you set up a USB printer in Win2K as guest in VB. I could hopefully still do print selection in Windows. Tried using install printer in Win 2K but it only lists LP and serial ports in the dialog.

I can't tell you about the "print selected" bit. I do not remember every seeing that option.  As for setting up your printer in virtual box, Do it just as you would if you were installing it in Windows.  You will need the Windows driver for your printer.  It only took me maybe 5 minutes to setup my USB Epson CX4800 MFP

I'm beginning to feel like a character in Animal Farm. I wake up in the morning and know the rules on the wall have slightly changed but nobody will believe me. Let me see if I can dig out an old Live CD and do a screen shot just to prove I'm not crazy.

Dang it's back in Firefox where it was when I couldn't find it in 2009 and they moved it to options screen.

Still not in Opera but at least I have it somewhere.
