Depends on what is meant by "HD Ready" .......  some of those are only 720p and not 1080.

So try the native resolution of the TV ....  whatever that is for that model.

Are there any model numbers or other info n the TV that might help us find some details about its capabilities?

native .....  as in the best resolution that the TV is capable of displaying.

What indicates to you that the TV is displaying at 1024x768? ....  from where is this info coming?

Are you using a VGA/DVi/HDMI connection to the TV?

Is the TV being used as a second display or as the only display?

regards.

the tv is saying 1024 or that pops up on it when booting up and when I mess with the menu .. it has one window.. PIP and split screen..

using it as main display and connected via VGA.. and not finding any model numbers or anything that I could google ..

I know my ATI Radeon Xpress 200 is not the best of onboard chips, but it is showing the right res ??

In PCC, try selecting monitor as "Plug and Play", and resolution as "Automatic"...
