[solved] Dual Boot with another distro

I've installed Phoenix XFCE on it's own partition on an old laptop which already had another distro installed and working fine.
Now when booting up I get the Phoenix grub and don't have the option to select another distro at all.
How can I get all boot options from both distros onto one grub?

Which order did you install in?  and which distro did you use?  Most GRUB loaders will detect other linux installations whne installing themselves, and I know PCLOS and the Ubuntu's do this.  But not all do.

You may try Redo (Restore) MBR from LiveCD session.

Boot from LiveCD, Menu-->More Applications-->Configuration-->Redo MBR.

Ubuntu 10 was installed on a separate partition first which was dual booted with WinXP.  I wiped out Windows and installed the XFCE Phoenix edition of PCLinuxOS in it's place.  It was the edition released in July this year according to the disc, but I'm not sure of the release number.
This grub doesn't appear to have recognized Ubuntu at all.
I've been looking at the boot system setup in the Control Center and there's a screen that allows you to add entries to the grub, but I'm not sure what I need to enter to make it work.
I entered a line for Ubuntu and it worked but when it booted up nothing worked.......no mouse/keyboard.

Thank you.  Worked like a charm!
And the grub loads twice as quick as before.
