Connecting to my Printer
«

Never done this before and need advise.
Here is what I have:
Older Compaq Desktop computer running PCLinux KDE 4 (fully updated )
hard wired to a LinkSYS wireless G Broadband Router (Model # WRT54G2 V1.5)
USB connected HP f4235 all in one printer (connected to the Desktop )
Trying to connect to the printer from :
Compaq Presario Laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium
Connected to the Router through a wireless connection.
As I said I have never done this before and really don't even know where to start .
I would like to be able to send print jobs to this printer from the laptop.
Any and all help is Greatly Appreciated.

From my meagre knowledge as the printer is not a wireless printer you need to network the laptop and the Desktop. If you can achieve this you should then be able to connect to the printer thro the network.

To add to what Fornhamfred said, make sure the printer is available to the network in CUPS, not just locally.
