( SOLVED ) dvd ripping
« on: October 07, 2011, 11:15:08 PM »
Hello,

 FullMonty Release:               2011.09
Kernel-version:    2.6.38.8-pclos3.bfs
KDE4-version:                           4.6.5

I am trying to rip a dvd with dvd::rip. Once i have set up the storage settings and then click on Rip Title and click Read DVD Table Of Contents, a message pops up and says:

If you re-read the TOC, all settings in
this project get lost. Probably you want
to save the project to another file before
you proceeed.

Do you want to re-read the TOC now?   so i click yes and it says this:

Job 'Read TOC (lsdvd)' failed with error message:
Error reading table of contents. Please check your DVD device settings in the Preferences and don't forget to put a DVD in the drive.

And when i click on Logging, this comes up:

Sat Oct  8 15:06:57 2011 Job 'Read TOC (lsdvd)' finished
Sat Oct  8 15:08:44 2011 Start job 'Read TOC (lsdvd|tcprobe)'
Sat Oct  8 15:08:44 2011 Start job 'Read TOC (lsdvd)'
Sat Oct  8 15:08:44 2011 Executing command: execflow lsdvd -a -n -c -s -v -Op \/dev\/sr1 2>/dev/null && echo EXECFLOW_OK
Sat Oct  8 15:08:44 2011 Job 'Read TOC (lsdvd|tcprobe)' finished
Sat Oct  8 15:08:44 2011 Job 'Read TOC (lsdvd|tcprobe)' exited with error: Job 'Read TOC (lsdvd)' failed with error message:
Error reading table of contents. Please check your DVD device settings in the Preferences and don't forget to put a DVD in the drive.

In the data source selection, this is my settings:  /dev/sr1

I also tried Acidrip and the video source path is /dev/dvd, click on load and at the bottom it says DVD Not Found, Drive Empty ?

Can someone help me please ?

 Derek.
