And on that note, it's looking like we're gonna be the first of the RPM-based distro to pack Minus Desktop Tools ... unless rpmbone is hiding sumptin from me again. Yay, go, Tex ... Go!

It is a binary executable, isn't it Tex?

Yes, seems self contained except for the qt4 libs. I can't get the drag and drop to work by dragging a picture from dolphin to the taskbar because the popup box comes up in the wrong location on the KDE desktop. It does work properly in LXDE. Maybe a bug in the program.

It doesn't matter, KDE users are used to bugs hehehehe  ;D

Sorry I couldn't resist
I shall pass this way but once;
any good therefore that I can do,
or any kindness that I can show
let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.

At present, even without a Minus app installed, I find it convenient to drag from Dolphin and drop the file onto the Minus page open in Firefox.

Yeap, how much else can the Minus Desktop Tool can do that you can't do in the browser. Not like it's packed with confusing features ... great, I don't see myself switching DEs anytime soon. :)

Rename folders is OK ......  but can a file that is uploaded be renamed?

If a file is put into the wrong folder can it be moved to another folder on Minus?

I haven't been able to figure those out as yet ....

Photos can be edited on the fly ... I think you need to be a registered Disqus user to be able to post a comment ... no individual file rename or move but at least you can trash each file ... what else?

One odd thing...played with uploading a few pictures...

In one folder, I had put 2 images.  Now, on my dashboard, it shows the folder (named after the first image) as containing two files, but whenever I go into it, there's only 1 (and it then says 1 of 1)...
???

I'll try a few more files...not sure I would trust this to archiving data...

EDIT
...OK, here's a folder with two files:
http://min.us/mbdExQzzip

It looks good from here...can anyone else confirm they see both images?

I'll check it during the next day or two, and see what happens.

Thanks.

I eventually found the way to rename files .....  list view - there is a pencil icon to the left of the file name ....  clicking it allows the name to be edited  :D
