There was this old scam in Poland people were falling for... Lets say there is a family. No children. Husband and wife. One day they are walking out from the apartment and they see envelope behind the wipers of their car with a note in it "Hi! I am so sorry for bumping Your door - it was an accident - I am so ashamed... Please accept my apologies and those two tickets to the cinema for a movie XXXXX as my way of saying I am sorry..."  The damage is really not big. It's actually barely visible so the owners of the car are not making a big deal out of it... and they are deciding to use the tickets... When they came back from the cinema they have found out that the house have been picked clean... Thief knew exactly when they were NOT at home...

here is an Indonesian scam that happened to me;

I was driving on a normal smallish road past a crowded section. I heard something hit my passenger side rearview mirror & knocked it out of alignment. I thought "whaaat?" & drove on. A kilometer down the road a motorbike rider motioned me to the side of the road & said I hit a pedestrian (pointed at my mirror) & he was lying beside the road & needed to go to the hospital. Suddenly a car pulled up & a few more guys came to my car. This all happened very fast & I suddenly caught on to what was going on.  I opened the window a crack & gave them @$20 & drove off shaking angry/scared.
A master plan & carried out like a Hollywood movie.
