64-bit QT Creator and GIMP 2.7.3
« on: October 07, 2011, 10:33:59 PM »
As I immerse myself into a small project - GUI for Aliaser, I noticed that QT Creator was not available on the 64-bit repository so I packaged the same version as in our 32-bit repository - 2.1.0. There's already version 2.3.1 but that needed QT4 version 4.7.4 and we only have 4.7.3 on our repository.

Anyway, I'd like to ask anyone of you interested to help me test QT Creator 2.1.0 on my Test RPMS at Ge.tt. Additionally, I also packaged the latest GIMP version 2.7.3, and this too need to be tested.

You will need to download the following files for QT Creator 2.1.80:
  • qt-creator-2.1-0.2_archie_2011.x86_64.rpm

Optionally, you can also download the documentation, qt-creator-doc-2.1-0.2_archie_2011.x86_64.rpm.

And the following for GIMP 2.7.3:
  • gimp-2.7.3-1_archie_2011.x86_64.rpm
  • lib64gimp2.0_0-2.7.3-1_archie_2011.x86_64.rpm

Optionally, you might also want to use the python bindings, gimp-python-2.7.3-1_archie_2011.x86_64.rpm.

Installing the RPMS are simple - (1) su to root, and (2) on a terminal, rpm -Uvh *.rpm

I have tested both apps and they seem to be working well on my machine, Any feedback are appreciated.

Thank you in advance, and enjoy!

Edit: I just looked at the QT Creator 2.3.1 archive and the README and it states there that a prerequsite is QT 4.7.1. Strange!
