Libre office - Lomanager problem
« on: September 21, 2011, 08:05:59 AM »
I have updated synaptic and when I did that axel latest version and lomanager  3.4.3 got installed.

The problem is when I start Lomanager (konsole as root or the Icon in Desktop or Menu-->office-->) , I get a dialog that "Liomanager has been updated to the latest available version ..After we exit ,Pl run updated Lomanager again "

The problem is that everytime I run lomanager ,the same dialog box with the same message asking me to run again comes up..

i checked synaptic and the version of the installed package is 3.4.3...

Where is this updated lomanager then?

Thank you ...I tried one of the heanet.ie repo but did not work..I chose a japanese server (jaist.ac.jp) and it has upgraded to 3.4.3-4 ...Thanks a lot

This may be an eye opener for many like me..Mine was a fresh install and I just had the default repo enabled(debian.ethz.ch)

Sometimes it's just a matter of waiting an hour or so (sometimes a bit more depending on how often/when the mirrors server carries out the sync process)

Oh, and btw, and I hope I'm not teaching you to suck eggs  ;) but just in case you are unaware of it, you should only have one repo marked as having more than one can list different versions owing to the times the repos are synced/updated.

An "optional" exception to this is allowing the megagames repo to be selected as well

This weekend I installed and updated PCLos to the latest on an Acer notebook with a 300N WiFi connection, shared with about 10 other users.
All went fine, but.............
Installing with addlocale or lomanager all ended up with errors, could not receive all packages.
After a few retries I switched to a wired connection on the same network and addlocale and lomanager installed their programs without any glitch.
Lesson learned for the next time...........

As I'm blonde and part Irish, this keeps me occupied for hours! ;D

Further down the thread, there's mention of it happening when someone was on a wifi connection, but not when using a wired connection.  I only have wifi :-\

My version of LibreOffice is Version 3.6.2.2 (Build ID: da8c1e6).

My system is fully up to date.  Have been having this problem for 4-6 weeks or so.
