hi just18,

i'm using test3 64bit, install kmplayer, configure kmplayer, and the device is there as Video Device : /dev/video0, but the Audio Device is blank.
i dunno what to fill in  so i left it blank

then i open playlist window, chose television and click on composite1 ... tadaaaa ... yes i got both video and audio on my speakers.
the video quality is suck compare to tvtime, unless i enable video output setting on general to opengl and applying linear blend deinterlacer
now is smooth and clear.

then i click konsole and here is the output :

i do have check, i unplugged the audio analog that goes to my soundcard line in, and yes, the sound is gone.
apparently the sound i hear is not from usb audio. 

i also have a wintv hauppauge hvr900 that also works with pclos, this time with no line out analog. so it must be usb audio.
i don't like using it because after several hours the device was very hot and the picture quality become degraded.
let me try for you ... if i could find the device. the problem is i forgot where i put it.

i need a rest now, very tired. bye

No need to check that .....  I have a working DTT-DVB device with only USB connection and get TV and sound no problem.

So the limitation might appear to be general .....  or at least general for PCLOS .....
