Thanks, Agust!!  We can always use all the help we can get around here.  I am in the process of updating Barebones with the 2.6.32.24 pclos kernel for those who use laptops.  I should have it up on the server by tomorrow if all goes well.  It will be recognizable by the barebones-laptop identification. 

It is very easy to install another kernel to suit your own needs once install is made.  Also any application you prefer is just an install away from the repositories.

Again... Thanks for all the beautiful work you do, Agust, and all the help you give.

Thanks Linuxera , Thunderbird knows how to put you in Spanish?    , installed addlocale + Thunderbird es-ES 6.0.2 in Synaptic , but remains in English, the rest of the system is in Spanish.
I think I've been away too long.

I downloaded Mozilla Thunderbird in Spanish from web Europe and I created a launcher for e17 and ready and I have Thunderbird.

In File Manager , folder Gtk3 and folder Drakk , perform some specific function or can be deleted safely? 
Folder Gtk3 , I keep my settings Lxappearance , but folder Drakk is empty.

That is a good question.  If a folder is empty then the application or files have been removed and are no longer needed.  Where did you find the GTK3 file or folder?

Inside the folder there is a configuration file that is made from Lxappearance.
Gtk , Icons etc.... , that is being used at this time.

I suppose that's a good place to give feedback on Linuxera's updated iso So far I've used only the live cd, therefore this feedback mirrors only my first impression.

Overall I find it very satisfactory, just as I expected, it looks nice and stable Most of the following comments are of minor importance. Note that I'm trying the Black Mystery version.
- The net applet seems to be missing. I see it's configured to load on startup, but it simply doesn't appear in the tray when Enlightenment loads. However, it does appear when I start it manually via the menu.
- When I try changing the theme, I see only Agust's Black Mystery plus a couple of default themes. However, it seems that the first pack of August's themes is installed in Synaptic; why don't they show up??
- Showing hidden files in pcmanfm is activated; I believe it would be more appropriate if they were not.
- The taskbar is located on the far right of the panel, right before the mixer/time gadgets. As left alignment is almost universal, that's slightly unusual.
- Finally, the list of installed applications requires some thinking. The question is, is this iso intended for netbooks/old computers or for modern desktops? Currently there's a mix of lightweight and heavyweight applications; for instance, Firefox suggests this iso is intended for modern computers, while ephoto suggests netbook usage. Also, there seem to be a few inconsistences compared to other isos: eg, there's Exaile installed, while the similar Clementine is the standard for PCLOS. I understand you built this iso around your favourite applications. However, I believe it would be more appropriate for most users if the applications are selected according to specific criteria (eg a full system using the most common applications, or a lightweight system for old computers).

I really believe it's worth the trouble of everyone here providing a little extra help or feedback, in order to help turning your personal remasters to "official" isos, featured on the main page

This is nothing more than a community remaster, not an 'official iso' which was made to assist a few who needed and updated iso, since none has been produced.  It's helping a few get over the hump of major updates to X and GCC and a few more items.

They were removed manually to reduce the size of the ISO (keeping it under 700 MB so it would fit on a CD rather than go to a DVD.  You can reinstall them from the repositories with no problems.

The hidden files are not showing in root, nor in skel prior to remastering.  Seems like it's nothing I am or am not doing.  They just show up by default?

Please feel free to move it to your desired location.  This is not, nor do I intend it to be an 'official iso'.

Like you mentioned, those are my preferred apps.  There are many apps on the 'official isos' that I don't care to use, there for I have to uninstall them, and install what I prefer.  These isos are meant to help those out who are just beginning with E-17 and cannot go back to a previous version.  They are meant neither for older computers/laptops or newer ones.  You are free to create and publish an ISO of your choosing to be made 'official' if you like.

Linuxera, about your use of the 2.6.32.24 pclos kernel;  How am I to determine this kernel will be beneficial to my older laptop as opposed to later kernels?

You can certainly use whatever kernel you see fit. You are not locked into using any particular kernel.  I rolled one ISO barebones-laptop with the 2.6.32.24 kernel to help one person with power regressions, oh, and myself as my one year old Toshiba's battery only lasted a bit more than one hour with the 2.3.38.8 kernel.  That was prior to the information posted about editing menu.lst.

Not everyone knows how to edit menu.lst, so should we leave them out?  Maybe they can go elsewhere and use some other distro until another kernel comes out that won't eat up their battery?  I'm just trying to provide solutions for those who need it because they are not CLI happy yet.

They showed up in the guest home folder. Yeah, that's very likely. No big deal, it can be changed with a few clicks.
