Mesa upgrade and packaging
« on: May 21, 2013, 09:21:49 AM »
My 64-bit packaging machine has Intel graphics and I have therefore upgraded the Mesa drivers from the xorg component of the repo. I then removed the xorg section, as I understood it was a temporary fix for testing the new driver.

It seems I was mistaken as I see package upgrades are continuing to be placed there, and I cannot install some BuildRequires unless this section is enabled.

Is this component supposed to be enabled for all or only those with Intel graphics? Packages built with it enabled will not necessarily be compatible with packages built without it or installable on systems without it.

Should I have this component enabled or disabled on a build machine?
