how to start e17? SOLVED!
« on: September 09, 2011, 08:57:26 PM »
I've installed task-enlightenment but don't see how to start it.  It's not an option when I boot up.  How do I open it instead of KDE?
confused newbie.

in the user and password screen you can find two buttons, one should say session type, press it, it will show a list of the available options to load listing kde, e17 or enlightement, drak3d and other option i can't remember

don't forget that if you have enabled automatically login to kde, you need to log out first to see this screen so you have to load kde first

glad to help :)

that same way you can install and use gnome, lxde, xfce and many others

try not to install all of them at the same time because it is possible we won't see you again

it is a very long travel between those desktops, take food and water with you  :D
