And another person with the same problem, but different printer. I have HP F4460 deskjet. Will not print in landscape form LibreOffice UNLESS I modify as suggested the printer language type. Unfortunately, though I do get a print, that print is mis-colored. No black on the image is black, but is blue instead. So, definitely something the PCLOS guys need to check on.

Thanks for this thread and all the comments!!

Post Script Level 2 not changing anything for me.
For now I'm exporting to pdf and print with Adobe reader with autorotating.
Should (someone) create an autoscript............

Tja, reading the various problems encountered with landscape printing, one thing is sure: The problem has many faces!
DeBaas, when I here export to pdf it will still not print properly. That said I see a effect of picking the option Post script Level 2.  However, it is just not doing the trick. I hope the coming Ghostscript update will bring some improvement.

I got the same problem and managed to solve it by setting Printer Language Type to Postscript Level 3.  Thanks a lot for the suggestion.

Here is how I did it:
  • PC Menu --> Office -->LibreOffice 3.4 Printer Administration
  • Select your printer and click on Properties...
  • Select the Device Tab
  • Change Printer Language Type from PDF to "Postscript Level 3".
  • Close all the dialogs and restart LibreOffice.

I am using HP LJ P1102, and thus far the formatting and table placements from Calc is fine.

I see this is an old thread but I just wanted to see if any progress had been made. I have an HP 3135 All In One, and the only way for me to print landscape from LibreOffice Calc is to use the "Post Script Level 2" setting in the Calc printer setting. Although these settings do not stick, I guess it's a fix for now.

Did you try the steps from the post above yours by Venks? This will change the global settings for Libre Office.

I haven't tried to print to a printer in landscape, but print to file produces a PDF in landscape.

I did use that advice from venks and they do work, they just don't stay after you close calc.
