Hallo to all, I have installed the latest pclinuxos kde version on my dell ispiron 1545 laptop.
Everything works like a charm after the installation but the touchpad scroll function. An update fixed that ;)

The only problem i have is that i was trying to remove the 2 icons in the panel (configure my computer, configure my desktop), and i unsuccessfully put them on the desktop and they cannot be deleted, moved etc.

Any tips?

Thnx in advance, and thnx for the o.s!

Welcome! :)

If you do not care for shortcuts on your desktop:
Right click on desktop > Desktop Settings > Unlock Widgets > choose Desktop (default) or Grouping Desktop > Apply > OK      Right click > Lock Widgets

When removing panel items:  unlock widgets and then right click the item > Choose to remove the item from the right click menu > Lock widgets.

Enjoy ;D

Good to hear.  "Folder View" desktop merely displays items in your directory "Desktop", so alternatively you can move those items to another directory or folder using Dolphin or Konquerer.  If you choose  "Folder View" for your desktop setting then any shortcuts or files under that directory apear on screen.

I personally like a cleaner desktop and add "launchers" to my panel for apps then use Dolphin for files.

Cheers ;D
