Great news, I fixed it! I decided to start over and installed XFCE! Now there is all new heck to pay..........I hate myself sometimes. :'(

Thanks for all the help everyone and I will keep a copy of Meemaws conky file to add in, I found that were it was supposed to be in XFCE home file.  Unfortunately I some how screwed up the installation and all I have is a wallpaper and 4 dead icons on it. Kill me now.

Off to the XFCE area! I really do thank you guys for the help, you have been great.

Hi, I'm back, I reloaded LXDE.

@djohnston   thanks for all the help, I put a copy of meemaws file where you said to put it and whamo! It works great. Now I just have to figure out how to read that file better so I can edit the fonts and colors.

I think we all had a feeling you'd eventually get it. Otherwise, we'd have thrown in the towel. Glad you understand now. And, by the way, to repeat an earlier instruction, you can edit the .conkyrc configuration file while conky is running. As soon as you save the changes you've made, conky will restart and you can see your brilliant changes ... or your mistakes.  ;D
