Why do I suddenly get this error?

Just tried to open my home directory clicking on the desktop acces....

Error stating file '/home/pedro/.gvfs': Transport endpoint is not connected.

just rebooted and now everything is fine.
Why could this have happened?

gvfs = Gnome virtual file system
Transport endpoint is not connected = gvfs did not load/start up properly.

Which DE are you using?

XFCE then. I can only advise a reboot, when this message appears. I do not know of a fix.
