Just to clarify ......

you only need to run the last command after installing draklive-install.

So after installing it, in a root terminal the only command you need is

/root/my-iso.sh

The previous commands were issued to set up that command and do not need to be done again.

good luck  ;)

Too late...entered them all.  ;D

The ISO is in /home.  :)

I post the following because I saw some warnings.  Probably nothing....but just reporting.  I haven't closed the Konsole yet either.

Congratulations, you have just successfully created your first remaster  :D :D :D

Just because you have the console still open, please take a look at the total amount of time used (you need to scroll back a few lines ....)

one hour and eight minutes ... my calculations were not so precise  :D

Now you need to burn your ISO. You can do it using K3b Main menu -> Tools -> Burn Image ...
(for simplicity, continue to use root account ..)

I can do this the hard way (sit here and stare at the screen and try to figure out what I am to do)
OR
the easy way (you tell me what to do.....no questions asked.  ;D )

I have the blank DVD-R in my hand.
I have brought up the DVD Kreator.
I am still in the Konsole with root active.

1) you can close the terminal console
2) open synaptic and install K3b
3) Launch K3b, from PCLinuxOS menu -> Archiving -> K3b
4) Close the tips popup window, if any...
5) K3b top menu -> Tools -> Burn Image

you should see something like :

On the box "Image to Burn" there is a icon that will allow you to choose the ISO image, you will find it in /home/ms_meme.iso
when done, insert a blank DVD-R in your drive, wait half a minute and click on the button START.

Problems:

Yes, I have that installed and I brought up the Burn Image and chose my iso.  It went through the Md5 Sum and reported the numbers.

I see the instruction line to: Insert an empty DVD and I did so.
But the start button is grayed out.  And there is no indication that a medium has been inserted.  There is a little noise in the drive.....
Seems to be that same problem when I try to put in a CD  ???

This could be an HW issue related to your CD/DVD unit ... as partially already seen in the past when unable to properly read music or pictures CD ....
It seems to remember that the issue show out nearly always when your PC is warm ... a bit less immediately after the PC start up.
There is not much that we can do about ...   :( :( May be retry later upon a cold boot ....

Great!  :) :) :)

Next step will be to test the LiveDVD, this will require a reboot.
Depending on BIOS settings your computer should boot from the newly created LiveDVD, if not, it will boot directly from hard disk.

While running from LiveMedia, nothing will be changed/saved to your hard disk, all changes are temporarily and will be lost upon next reboot. (DVD-R, once burned are read-only media), your changes lives in RAM.

I can't be online for the next few hours, I'm sure that there are other members that will help you to perform some tests.  ;)

Here is what happened when I booted the DVD

The gray brushed metal screen and logo appear
The boot screen entries:

Live CD
Live CD No Boot Splash
Video safe mode - FBDEV
Safe boot
Console
Copy to Ram Install PCLOS

At bottom or screen: Help Language 800x600 CDRom  Driver  Kernel

I let the default boot.
Some writing and black screens appeared.
Then the Blue Moon with PCLinuxOS logo....the one I use.

Things then stop.  I sit and wait and wait.  No movement and no sound.
I do Ctrl/Alt/Delete and it reboots and again goes to the Blue Moon screen and stops.

I reboot and take the DVD out.

Try again but choose the Live CD No Boot Splash option.

Post the last messages before the freeze.

Try again but choose the Live CD No Boot Splash option.

Post the last messages before the freeze.

After choosing No Boot Splash, a lot of writing on black screen appears. It stops and this appears in RED.

Errors: Unable to mount loop filesystem
Commands were:
losetup /dev/loop0 initrd/cdrom/  livecd. sqfs
mount -r -t squashfs /dev/loop0  initrd/loopfs

Most likely cause is bad burn or bad download.  Please run media check on livecd.

(I think the RED ended here)

Dropping to a limited shell

Loading /initrd/bin/ash /initrd/ bin/ash; can't access tty;
job control turned off

....Then something like  $_____  appeared and I pressed or typed something and the words started scrolling or flashing really fast and no way to stop it.  I turned off machine

HOW do I get off that page without it doing that?  If I have to go there again?
