login screen theme
« on: August 22, 2011, 03:07:23 PM »
Hi,

I'm running PCLOS 2011.6 (with everything updated via synaptic). When I "Get New Themes" for the login screen and click install, the window says "installed" but they do not appear in the list? Any ideas?

Thanks!

I've found some work and others don't.

My favourite is MIB Ossigeno Ultimate KDM - I think its the "blue riband" of login screens. I use it along with Archies  PCLinuxOS Wet-Air theme.

If you want to try it, typing MIB in the search box will bring it up.

There are installable themes in Synaptic.
For KDE, search for kdm themes. For other DEs, search for gdm themes.
