Can't find a video in memory (in order to grab it)

I'm having difficulty understanding the following situation (firefox v5.0.1, running under gnome_2-11.5): I'm watching http://www.nrk.no/nett-tv/indeks/268797/ with mplayer-plugin, and would like to grab it. If I now put the mouse-pointer in the mplayer <window> and right-click, it says that the video (??) can be saved to ~/tmp/asx.aspx?param=1234...huge number...987   There's no sign of this asx.aspx..etc in ~/tmp, however (despite the fact that the video (??) is running). Perhaps it's somewhere else?

Can anyone explain this for me? Many thanks.

There are quite a few Firefox Add-ons which allow you to choose where the downloads go - quite a few people use Video DownloadHelper  and/or Download Statusbar

Can't find anything to load on ...when I give it the above URL. Don't understand at all, because there clearly is something there; I am watching it, after all

After clicking on the link given above and when the subsequent video starts to play I was able to right click on it and copy the url

Then use VLC to stream / watch / convert-save etc

When right clicking there is also an Save As option but it doesn't seem to want to co-operate.......
