close minimise,maximise buttons gone?

Did an update yesterday, and now I don't have any of those buttons up in the corner on anything.  Have to use the right click menu from the task bar to close everything now. Tried resetting the theme, but no cigar.  Any ideas how to fix this?

Sort of an off topic comment, but I've removed all window dec buttons as I prefer not to use them.
