Packages Cannot Be Retrieved...When Updating
« on: August 14, 2011, 04:30:21 AM »
This morning I tried to update.
I reloaded and marked all Upgrades.  The process started and when it was through I got the message that Some packages could not be retrieve from the server.  Did I want to continue, ignoring these packages?
I said NO.

Then I decided to try again.  I reloaded and marked all Upgrades. Again get that message.
I see at the bottom of page:  37 to be installed.  I have not yet chosen YES of NO (for the second time).

Waiting to get advice on what to do.

Thank you.

ms_meme,

Correct action.

Do nothing - except wait for your chosen repo to finish syncing or whatever.

You could try different repos but that is a pain.

Jump through no hoops - just wait until this evening or tomorrow.

OK?

OK!  :D

I will choose NO again and go look for other trouble.  :P   Then try again another time.
Thanks.

I can remember occasions, no more than 2 months ago, that I had to do this 3 ( or maybe 4 ) times before it finished.

That I have to do it twice is still the default most of the time.
But it's no bother to me.
My wife also has always to talk to me twice  ;D

If I had not received this update, I would not have remembered to go back and try to update.
Many thanks!!
