Hi y'all
Decided to re-install this excellent OS on an HP ProBook 6450b. All went smoothly, including Libre Office install.
Then I set about fine-tuning. Changed the GDM log-in window a couple of times, then back to original. In doing this I managed to end up with a persistent tmp folder icon on the desktop. Keep deletin' the tmp icon. It doggedly returns each re-boot. Any ideas on how to terminate once and for all? TIA.
Otherwise IMHO FWIW there is no doubt PCLOS LXDE kicks severe butt. This is my current benchmark for user-friendly Linux distros, one that satisfies intelligent lightweight Linux design, and enables M$-frazzled GNUcomers to migrate more easily. Respect and kudos to all involved.
PS: It is truly unbelievable the enormous amount of HP Win7 clogging, constipating bloatware that is dumped on unsuspecting consumers these days (Toshiba and others not far behind). Great incentive for loading PCLinuxOS instead!

A donation is definitely in order.
