Daniel, you are the man!

I tested the newest version. It's great.
You fixed almost everything I suggested.

I found my way through changing the default directory, it was my misunderstanding.
Also, I haven't noticed that under "Help" you can find the shortcuts for mplayer.
It's indeed faster using the keyboard but some users may prefer the button way :)
It's fine by me.

One more final suggestion: do you think that the playlist should have buttons for next/previous video?
Oh, and if you need better looking icons, just say so ;)

Thanks for suggestions, and testing

Daniel! Go go and take up this offer. He really does nice icons :) I have seen his work in the qt-update-notifier thread :)

---------------
Personally I hate the look of GTK applications in KDE. How about Qt?
---------------

For the English version, these are my observations :
1. First window capitalisation - replace "A Simple Player" with "A simple player"
2. Splash screen after directory selection - replace "search" with "searching"
3. For the playlist selection window - make the line like this "Click on the file you want to open from the list below"
4. There seems to be no icon for the SAVE PLAYLIST button
5. Consider dropping the exclamation mark at the end of all sentences!

;) ;) ;)

Regards,
-SS.
Packaging well will cure headaches of many :) But learning to package will cause headaches in many :(

Daniel, I have finished the greek translation, you can find it here

But I seem to have some issues, though:

1. There is an option in the program: "Play your playlist in loop mode!"
This does not appear in the .pot file. The translation is: "Αναπαραγωγή της λίστας με επανάληψη"

2. Under "Help" -> "Mplayer shortcuts", the first entry (seek backward/forward 10 seconds) does not appear translated in my system (I have copied the .mo file to /usr/share/locale/el/LC_MESSAGES. All other entries are translated except this one. When I edit this entry with poedit, some strange symbols appear:

3. Another entry that doesn't display in Greek is "Converter ffmpeg is installed", again under the "Help" menu.

4. Finally, when I want to delete a video, either from the disk or from the playlist, a warning message appears. This message is not in the .pot file.

Message:
Are you sure you want to remove (some file) from your playlist?
Translation:
Είστε βέβαιοι ότι θέλετε να αφαιρέσετε το αρχείο (some file) από την λίστα;

Message:
Are you sure you want to remove (some file) from your drive?
Translation:
Είστε βέβαιοι ότι θέλετε να αφαιρέσετε το αρχείο (some file) από το δίσκο;

Check the files I send and tell me what you think.
I have provided the missing translations in case you want to add them yourself.
I don't know why some entries are not in the .pot file... Do you have a newer one (for the newer version)?

Cool agmg. Your concept and execution look in good symphony.
The icons seem to convey the ideas properly.

WARNING - If you keep this up, you could be called upon for more and more jobs henceforth :)

First of all, Thank you agmg.
The icons loooooooooks great, make more please i will add them.

Second step
At the time i changed two things, little things only
In the playlist window there i removed play playlist button, and renamed single play button as only play, and stop playlist in only stop.

Added then
Enable playlists mode!
Need only a fix translation i will add it ;)

1. There is an option in the program: "Play your playlist in loop mode!"
This does not appear in the .pot file. The translation is: "Αναπαραγωγή της λίστας με επανάληψη"

Thanks for the hints, i will check where it is  ;D

I think i know what wrong is, and will fix it soon
And the other not displayed will i check, too.

Against thanks for your suggestions, and testing

AND thanks for the great icons ;)

Daniel

EDIT:
and translation for this one

Translations:

Play = Αναπαραγωγή
Stop = Διακοπή
Enable playlists mode = Ενεργοποίηση λειτουργίας λιστών αναπαραγωγής
Play a movie, or playlist = Αναπαραγωγή ενός βίντεο ή μιας λίστας

Tell me if you want me to do a check to another .pot file when you finalize it.
Also please consider sling-shot's suggestion about removing the exclamation marks at the end of the sentences ;)

I also have some corrections for the English translation unless someone else wants to look deeper into it...

Oh, and thank you for the compliments about the icons.
I will have them ready very soon ;)

Daniel, I have made a new translation with the final .pot file you provided.
It contains all the changes made so far.
The entries that weren't showing before are fixed now ;)

Link is same as before: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/45568364/pclos-flv-main.greek.tar.gz

The pclos-flv-main.mo file for Greek translation must go under
/usr/share/locale/el/LC_MESSAGES
and not
/usr/share/locale/gr/LC_MESSAGES
