I also tried BURG with Chakra awhile back...  I don't recall which theme it had by default, But I do recall that it was easy to change once I located the right utility.

I think I ended up with one similar to the second screenshot... I thought it was very cool that (depending on settings) it would condense all entries for each OS under a single icon; it made for a much cleaner looking menu.

I also recall that it took some searching to find the config file to change the boot menu..   :o ;D
(they have a pretty good auto-detect script for different os's/distro's/kernel's.. ..it found more than I wanted on my menu!)

My "notes" are here:
I found the Arch wiki page on Burg very helpful:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Burg

Initially I was trying to reduce the number of OS boot options and couldn't find the correct file (.. it is /boot/burg/burg.conf ..it is populated by running the  command burg-mkconfig -o /boot/burg/burg.cfg ).  After reading the wiki I figured out I could "fold" the multiple entries for each OS / Distro into a single icon with a simple keystroke at the boot menu..  very nice!

Managing BURG with BURG-Manager - from linuxbsdos

BURG-Manager is a graphical interface for managing BURG, the new bootloader that is based on GRUB, the GRand Unified Bootloader. It is a very simple application with many features, but the user interface is not going to win any style points from an honest evaluator.

Here are just a few screenshots to show the features of this application. The screenshots were taken from a test installation of Chakra Edn 2011.11

Crikey .....  a big negative because they don't like the interface  :(

Seems that underneath its 'pretty face' it is standard Grub 2, with all its foibles ......  unless someone who has used it can let us know if there are changes underneath .....  ?
