Has anyone tried BURG?

Any info / comments? I'm thinking of giving it a try when i find time, but not sure if it's a good idea :)

Hah! Grub spelt backwards... Screenshots were appetizing. Give it a go, slax and we can test it.

I finally had the time to check it out.
It compiled and installed correctly, but i don't know how to select it? there's still grub showing.

any ideas?

I had the opportunity to install Chakra on my netbook recently. They use BURG. I suppose the name change has not been pervasive.
Because for me too on reboot, it reported Grub.
So you might have actually had BURG but you were led to think it was GRUB?! :)

NOTE: I am sure about that because previously the netbook used to boot using Windows loader. So whatever change is there, it has to be BURG.

Was the menu selection anything like the screenshots posted on burG project site? Those were sweet.

I have never been to their site. So do not know.
But the appearance on my netbook screen was too pixellated. I much prefer our boot.

They were far removed from what experienced with the Chakra BURG.
I have to tell you one thing though, that the Chakra I tried was a testing release from sometime back, so do not know if they have worked on the boot choice screen later on.
The one I saw was a standard black background with multicolored icons next to the OS names but badly pixellated/blurry.
