Hi. It fixed itself here for some weird reason today... Is the panel at the top of the screen? Last thing I remember is I that I have moved the panel to the to the top of the screen. Today I moved it to the bottom and it's fixed...

ok, while playing with this I found that if I move my panel back to the bottom of the screen I have the drop down menu back. does this mean I cant have it on top? no way, its linux, I can have it my way. must be a different way to move the panels and keep the menus.

I suspect there is - must be some sort of bug.

I would suggest changing the thread subject to:

"LXMenu goes blank when the panel is at the top of the screen."

This way it will be more informative.

Also next time please post LXDE related problem in the LXDE Section of the forum.

Will add screenshots in next post.

Regards.

Sorry about the huge font in the lxterminal - I am looking at it on a screen that stands on a wardrobe... ;).

So far we have noticed / confirmed the bug. Now someone clever will try to come up with an answer and a fix...

Try this:
Create a new panel - right click panel > choose create new panel > choose to position it at the top. Right click the new panel and check that all settings are correct. Logout - login. Does the upper panel work as expected? Does LXMenu work as expected? If yes, remove lower panel, if desired.

This one puzzles me..... hmm......

I can find no reason for this as yet, nor have I found a fix - not even a workaround. :( .... the research continues.....

I am testing few other image hosting sites. Lately my account on postimage.org got deleted for no reasons. Same happened to Hootiegibbon I think...
