Maybe will I let the people test further (at least one day) before switching isos ? :)

Code: [Select]
[root@localhost]# wicd
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/share/wicd/daemon/wicd-daemon.py", line 47, in <module>
    import dbus
ImportError: No module named dbus

Hi Melodie,

Wicd seems to be having trouble getting into the system tray where it is called up.
VLC goes right in.   I wonder if this is a dbus we need or a problem similar to Clementine.

the ImportError would suggest that 'python-dbus' needs to be installed

Hi Jase,

Therefore, if it is confirmed, shouldn't python-dbus be pulled in along with wicd as dependency ?

Yes, when I install python-bus and also installed python-wifi the program works.   It's a
python script.   Just need to replace wicd with wicd-gtk so it goes into the tray (or not).
It's certainly missing these dependencies, for anyone interested in Wicd.   I'll message
broken packages then.

Hi,

I think this is a good idea.
Thanks.

I can't download from that link. Also when I try to download the older version of PCLOS Openbox I can't seem to get the file either. Has anyone else had these problems? Or does anyone know how I can get the latest Openbox install?

Looks like she changed the directory structure. Go here: http://tyruiop.eu/~melodie/Downloads/ISOS/PCLinuxOS_2011/

Bare metal                           VBox
AMD Athlon 7750 Dual-Core    Single core

nVidia GeForce FX 5200          64MB video

Ok. So the download for Bansai will work, but not the one for the regular install.

I dunno. Works fine here.

Do you want the full Openbox or the (mini) Bonsai version?

EDIT: She has that directory locked for a reason. The previous stuff is here: http://tyruiop.eu/~melodie/Downloads/ISOS/PCLinuxOS_cli_iso_and_children/

It's Bonsai, mini, and cli-only versions.

I was hoping to get the full version. I can go to that link. But the download link for the full version isn't working.

So the full version doesn't exist anymore?

Hi,

All this has been under lots of work to fix many details. You could see the files but not get them as long as the upload was not finished and checked. I just woke up, take a coffee, checked permissions on files and the md5sum, now you can have them.

They just arrived and were not tested by members of the dev team yet and officially approved : so please if you find glitches left in it, would you come here to report, and not yell that it is the worse thing that has been provided until now ? ;D

Thanks Melodie! I'm downloading now and i'll install it this afternoon. And don't worry about me whining about a few bugs or glitches. I'm definitely no stranger to running alpha/beta distros from time to time. If anything i'll get bored/upset if I don't find a few glitches. ha.

Then I hope you will get bored as I intend it to be the final. ;)
I will be looking forward to your report. :)
