Problem with my USB sound
« on: August 23, 2011, 06:36:53 PM »
Earlier today I posted this, but unfortunately something went bad.
I'm running PCLinuxOS on a viewsonic vnb101 netbook with this sound card. With Pulse Audio enabled my usb sound card works but plays only system sounds and alsa mixer is totally unavailable. Thats why I disabled pulse, but the problem still exists. Alsa recognizes my USB sound card, but I can't play anything - no music, movies, no sound on my web browsers.
So how can I set up the default playback alsa device to my USB sound card, I really want to get this fixed.

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked in Kmix to be sure all the sliders are at the top, and no channels are muted?

Of what use be there for joy, if not for the sharing thereof?

Normally hda intel is muted, thats my laptop speakers which I don't want to use.

And here's the usb sound card:

Everything's up, but it still does not work.

Any ideas?
