I just updated fully a week or so ago.
The kernel is
not automatically updated, you need to open synaptic and explicitly mark the new kernel to be installed, once installed, reboot your computer and wait a few, it need to rebuild some drivers.
The older kernel will not be removed, and if something go wrong you will be able to boot using the older kernel.
If you still choose to not install the new kernel, remember to add the
--lzma option when using mylivecd.
If you find difficult to follow the provided instructions, let us know
exactly how is set up your system so that we can provide you the exact command line to use, the information we need are:
the content of the file
/etc/fstabthe output of the command
df -mmylivecd is a rather powerful command, but require your cooperation.
