How to add icons to the bottom bar?

As a long-time PCLinuxOS KDE user, I am so used to icons on the bar, not icons on the desktop.  I right click a program, and it adds it to the desktop, not the panel.  Is there a way to do this is LXDE?  BTW, I love this new LXDE and the speed and professional look.  Great job all around.

On the left side of the panel, right click and choose Application Launch Bar Settings from the menu that opens. When it opens, you'll see what's on your launch bar in the left pane, what's available in the right pane and action buttons in the center.

Thanks Neal. I'd puzzled over that too. Wherever I right-clicked, I got the Taskbar menu. Just needed guiding to the sweet spot that unlocks the Launch Bar menu. Gone mad now denuding the Desktop and pimping the Launch. I'll be needing to add another Bar shortly!
