CD/DVD drive not working

I installed pclinux pheonix and now my dvd/cd drive is not working ie: no power or response..

Any help would be appreciated.... ;D

Can you please provide some more info ?
PC model/brand ?
CD/DVD unit model/brand ?
How do you installed phoenix ? from CD or USB ?

Thank you for replying but i have accidentally fixed it.
I took the pc model number and took the cd dvd rom out to get the make and model now that its back together it seems to be working fine as if nothing happened! strange..

Seems it was a bad contact.

You know PCLOS is like a hurricane and it shook the contacts while installing :-\
