Auto boot
« on: July 26, 2011, 07:05:10 PM »
  Good Evening,
This is more of a technical question than a problem. I have a dual boot with windows 7 (for wife). With previous versions when the grub loaded and no choice was made , it would boot to pclinux. With an new load of the current KDE, If you don't make a choice the screen goes blank. Is there anyway to either bring back the grub screen or to change some setting to default to pclinux. Everything is working fine and is an awesome OS

You can go to PClinuxos control center > boot and one of the options sets up or modifies the grub.
You should be able to select the default and the system will boot into that if you dont make a selection.

Start the PCLinuxOS Control Center. Select Boot in the left panel and Set up boot system in the right panel. In the Main Options box, enter the number of seconds you want GRUB to wait for an input before booting, then click Next.

Highlight the entry you want to be the default one. You can use the green arrow buttons to move menu entries either up or down the list. Click the Modify button. In the drakboot window, make sure Default is checked, then click OK.

Click the Finish button.
