Hi,

There is nothing I have seen that's better than dazzle52a.zip in a Dosbox.
Especially with my old LXDE and xorg 165.  Takes a million screens to
duplicate any screen.  The newer xorg's shorten the width of the screen
a little bit which is bad.   Dosbox reconfigurations don't help.    I wonder
if your wine usage would render a 100% full screen for dazzle52a.zip
(the last release) and other games ?    I have dozens of old DoS games and they run in
a slightly shortened screen as well.

What do you think ?

You, too? I archived it somewhere, but couldn't locate it. So I downloaded the DOS version and the RAZZLE version, too. I probably have the original dazzle floppy. Just haven't looked yet.

Anyway, it's not displaying all the vertical space in a 1024x768 window. Probably needs tweaking, and I haven't genned a batch or config file yet.

Haven't seen Razzle lately but slightly remember it.    I think Razzle was a marketing version if
I remember right.    But wasn't viable.    Their website doesn't mention registration directly,  but it's
still available if one google's for it.  I'd register it but the website seems off for that purpose.   Anyway,
perhaps Wine can get it going fullscreen again.   I've got the original version and the last version
either on and old DOS CD or my HD if needed.   Kind of like ProjectM, and one of the old DOS great
programs, isn't it ?   Perhaps Wine can get it going full screen, again.   I run it with alternating speeds
and it's just fine, when I run it.    In Dosbox with xorg 1.6.5 it runs perfectly, otherwise ?????

addendum: if you set the fullscreen and/or the window resolution to 1024x768 and switch from
surface to overlay in the dosbox configuration file it will help  when using the new xorgs.  The old
xorgs I didn't have to.    FYI

OK

but dazzle52a.zip was the last (and greatest)  release, can't find it immediately

there was a dazzle52b.zip but it had marketing restrictions on it, buy this and you get something
else, etc..

Let me google for 52a momentarily

addendum:  Here they claim 52b is a mtce. release, so be it.
I'm running 52a, I suppose I'll create a directory for 52b then.
http://www.simtel.net/product/view/id/26334
But, it's the last release I know about, however.

Thanks for your response.

Want FULL SCREEN in DosInWINE? You got it!

FULL SCREEN using DosBox in WINE:

1. Locate the [sdl] section at the TOP of the dosbox.conf file

2. Scroll down to fullscreen=false
   Change it to fullscreen=true

3. Scroll down to fullresolution=original
   Change fullresolution=? ? ? ?x? ? ? ?

The ? ? ? ? are to be replaced by your ACTUAL SIZE desktop. If your ACTUAL FULL
resolution is 1024x768 change it to this:

   fullresolution=1024x768

If your windowresolution= is smaller than your actual desktop, don't worry!
DosInWINE will EXPAND the window automatically!

SAVE the dosbox.conf file and run it.

You should have full screen!

Hope this helps you dos gamers!!! Enjoy!

Sincerely;
billy7720

Want FULL SCREEN in DosInWINE? You got it!

May I ask what video card you have ?    My full screen is still only 95% width.
Not bad tho'    Glad you enjoy Dazzle, about 15 years old.

Thanks.
